My Baby

Hi!  My name is Kora, and I love animals!  I enjoy watching, studying, and handling the animals around my home.  Don't worry, I don't handle the wildlife often!  The only time I handle the animals is when they are injured or, in the case of tadpoles, can be captured and released back into the wild later.  Sometimes, I find baby birds that have fallen out of their nest.  One time, I found a baby blue-jay that had fallen out of it's nest, but the nest was too high for me to put the baby back in.  My mom and I raised it, and when it was big enough, we let it go.  It was an amazing experience.  The summer of 2013 I rescued a kitten from a nearby farm.  The farmer had brought her to me, and said if I wouldn't take her he would have to put her down.  Her momma had abandoned her, and her eyes were crusted shut with pus. My mom helped me here too.  She helped me clean out her eyes, and bring her up to weight.  The kitten had been starving when we got her.  She is now a bright eyed, bushy tailed tabby named Nova!  Here she is today(only her head mind you)!  She is asleep in this picture.
